Heated Storage? Why?? Cold storage is best.
Some places are building heated storage buildings. This makes it easier to put your boat away without draining the block. Accumulated sediment and rust never escape. This can create hot spots in your cylinders and damage the engine. Cold storage slows down the deterioration of every part of your boat. Why speed it up? What if the heat system fails? Do you want to negotiate with an insurance company rather than go boating next spring? Our storage boats are ready for anything... rain, cold, snow, ice storms, power outages...safe and sound.
All of these important services are included. Others charge extra for this! Don't be misled.
- Winterize engine with non-toxic antifreeze full-strength - water jacket plugs removed to allow sediment to escape.
- Change oil in outdrive and/or lower unit We use only the highest quality available factory fluids and lubes. It costs more... you deserve it.
- Remove outdrive, lube universal joints and gimbal bearing where it is applicable, and replace with new gasket. This is factory required annual maintenance and we include it at no extra cost to you.
- Stabilize full fuel system.
- Rig canvas or mooring cover, and store inside.
- In February we contact you by mail to allow you to give some thought to a pickup date in the spring…
- Spring launch and start up.
